Wagner College women's basketball team adds two players
McClure was a three-sport standout at Secaucus HS. In addition to amassing more than 1,494 points and 1,141 rebounds during her four years on the hardwood, McClure also excelled at volleyball, where she was named the 2015 New Jersey State Player of the Year and softball, where she is her school's all-time hits leader.
On the basketball floor last winter, McClure averaged 13.7 points and 11.5 rebounds while leading the Patriots to a sparkling 27-1 record and an appearance in the North Jersey, Section II, Group I Finals. "Julia is really versatile. She can play multiple positions and is the master of everything that doesn't show up on a stat sheet," Cermignano said. "Along with the fact that she can score, she is a phenomenal rebounder very high basketball I.Q. She can shoot like a guard and can finish like a post and is a piece that we really need. "Julia is someone who's always trying to do whatever it takes to win, is a great leader and teammate," Cermignano added. "She has had so much success in all three of her sports and we are very lucky to have the opportunity to add her to the Wagner women's basketball family."
